HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT CROSSFIT BELFAST AND WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE / WOD?
I’d been looking to try CrossFit for a while before I signed up to the foundations course. So I had been creeping a few boxes Facebook pages. Lol CFB was close by and looked like great place to start. I wasn't wrong. I can’t remember the first WOD exactly but really enjoyed the intensity of the training & noticed how friendly & welcoming everybody was.

HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK DO YOU CROSSFIT AND WHAT IS YOUR NORMAL CLASS TIME?
I train at CFB three days a week, usually in the 7:30pm class.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CROSSFIT BELFAST?
Firstly the coaches and the other members, it really is a great environment to train in. I had always used conventional gyms & trained alone, this was a completely new experience for me. The coaching is first hand, Niall & Jenna are awesome always helping with new techniques & I’ve already learned loads from them. Also when I picked up an injury in football they helped me keep training around the injury using different movements & I was still able to do the WODs.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE POST WOD MEAL?
I usually have dinner before as I train late, so it’s usually a shake with some carbs & protein for me just. Boring I know. Lol

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SOCK GAME… DO YOU PREFER ANKLE SOCKS, MID, OR HIGH SOCKS?
Always ankle socks! Definitely seen some weird socks from starting CrossFit!

WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF (OUTSIDE OR INSIDE OF GYM)?
We worked on our compound movements building up to CFB total in squats, deadlifts & overhead presses & I think I got a PB in them all.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT?
Snatch

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE CROSFIT MOVEMENT?
Skipping, Thrusters & wall balls

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
Electrician

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT DOING CROSSFIT?
Do it, just try the foundations course. I was a bit apprehensive about starting something new & was thinking I can’t do pull-ups & I can’t skip or I’ve never snatched before. It doesn’t matter you learn as you go. Just do it! I’ve been a member near 10 months now & can honestly say it’s one of the best moves I’ve made. If you’re looking a different way to train with professional coaching in a great environment look no further.

WHAT IS ONE GOAL YOU WOULD LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE NEXT YEAR?
Kipping movements on the bar, chest to bar pull ups, toes to bar etc
