HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT CROSSFIT BELFAST AND WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST EXPERIENCE / WOD?
I had been curious about CrossFit for some time and was looking for a club near me to try it out and happened to come across CrossFit Belfast whilst I was learning how to ride a motorcycle.
My first experience of CrossFit that I can remember was the second or third day of the induction. We had to do a mini-WOD which involved wall ball squats & pushups etc.

HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK DO YOU CROSSFIT AND WHAT IS YOUR NORMAL CLASS TIME?
Usually at least 3 times a week but I'm trying to make it down 5 times now. My normal class time is usually the 5:30pm or 6:30pm class.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT CROSSFIT BELFAST?
My favourite thing would be the emphasis on power lifts and constant technique refinement. Just when you think you've got it they come along and correct something else.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE POST WOD MEAL?
M&S salmon and cucumber sandwich with an Americano and a banana.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SOCK GAME… DO YOU PREFER ANKLE SOCKS, MID, OR HIGH SOCKS?
Whatever is clean at the time. lol

WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF (OUTSIDE OR INSIDE OF GYM)?
I cleaned 97.5kg recently and am very close to cleaning 100kg which has been a goal for a long time.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT?
Power snatches or power cleans.

WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE CROSFIT MOVEMENT?
Wall ball squats & burpees. Both are the devil.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
Web app developer.

HOW HAS CROSSFIT MADE YOUR LIFE EASIER?
It's instilled a sense of discipline and routine that was starting to wane due to hitting a personal physical plateau and doing the same routine all the time.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO IS THINKING ABOUT DOING CROSSFIT?
Try it out – it's one of the best groups that I've ever been part of. It quickly makes you realize how fit/unfit you really are by introducing you to lifts and workout combinations that you probably wouldn't have thought of doing by yourself.

WHAT IS ONE GOAL YOU WOULD LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH IN THE NEXT YEAR?
Take part in my first CrossFit competition and finish in the top three.
